Plan your learning week
Small goals, a timetable you can keep and how to stay motivated.
Key ideas
- Start small. Twenty or thirty minutes a day is more useful than a long session that you cannot keep up.
- Fixed slot. Choose a time that fits your day — for example after the morning chores or after dinner — and protect it.
- One goal per week. For example “finish TDS lessons 1 and 2”.
- Write it down. Put your plan where you can see it. Tick off what you complete.
- Practise, do not only read. After each lesson, do the “Try it” task.
- Review. At the end of each week, note what went well and what to change.
- Be kind to yourself. If you miss a day, restart the next day. Progress is not a straight line.
A sample week
| Day | 25 minutes |
|---|---|
| Mon | Read one lesson |
| Tue | Do its “Try it” task |
| Wed | Read the next lesson |
| Thu | Do its task |
| Fri | Take the quiz; note mistakes |
| Sat | Revise or catch up |
| Sun | Rest; plan next week |
Try it
Choose a time slot, decide this week's goal and write it on paper. Tell one person about it — a friend, a sister or a neighbour — so they can cheer you on.
