Privacy note for Identify Yourself and the lessons

What is stored

• Your answers to the Identify Yourself questions and the order they were shown in.
• Your suggested direction and, if you retake, a short history of earlier suggestions.
• Your lesson answers and the time you saved them. Your name, if you ask for a certificate.
• If you choose, your education level, experience level and one short note.

Where it is stored

Only in your own web browser (the browser’s local storage on your device), or, if you choose “Forget them when I close this tab”, in that tab’s session storage. Nothing is sent to Bigsun or to any other party unless you press a Send or Submit button yourself (apply, share progress, ask for a review, or record a certificate). There is no account, no cookie banner because we set no tracking cookies, no analytics on these pages, and no personal information is placed in page addresses.

What we do not collect

No family relationship details, histories of abuse, bank details or ID documents. Please do not type them anywhere on this site.

Why

To let you continue where you left off and to build your report. The suggestion is made by a simple scoring method running in your browser; there is no hidden profiling and no decision is made about you by a machine alone.

Who can see it

Anyone using the same browser profile on the same device. Bigsun cannot see it. When you press a Send or Submit button, only what that page tells you is sent, directly to Bigsun. The application form adds your suggested starting direction only if you tick the optional box.

How long it stays

Until you delete it or clear your browser data. You can delete it all at any time from the Report and certificate page, and download a backup first if you wish. How long Bigsun keeps anything you send will be confirmed before enrolment opens.

Limits you should know

• Clearing browser data, private browsing or switching device will lose or hide your work. Use the backup file.
• A backup file contains your answers. Keep it private.
• Moving work between devices automatically, and any central record would need a secure backend and a privacy decision that have not been made yet.

Bigsun’s general Privacy Policy also applies to anything you send to us.
